Mac Users - Know Issue with Mojave Update

October 24, 2018 at 10:58 AM
Dear Campus Community,

We have several recent cases of MacOS devices hanging up during the installation of Mojave. Although some devices have successfully installed, many others are experiencing issues. In most cases, it requires reformatting and reinstalling the operating system to return the device to normal operation. The concern is users not having files backed up before they hang up and require this remediation.

Below is a list of the devices able to support Mojave:

MacBook (Early 2015 or higher)
MacBook Air (Mid 2012 or higher)
MacBook Pro (Mid 2012 or higher)
Mac Mini (Late 2012 or higher)
iMac (Late 2012 or higher)
iMac Pro (2017)
Mac Pro (Late 2013, mid 2010, mid 2012 models)

We will continue to monitor this situation with Apple and keep you informed as they introduce a fix to this issue.
