Required Upgrade: All Workstations Moving to Windows 11 by October 2025August 26, 2025 at 10:03 AMDear Campus Community,
In February of this year, UCA IT began performing in-place upgrades to Windows 11. This process was successful in getting the majority of devices upgraded. However, there are still many devices across campus remaining on Windows 10. As part of our ongoing effort to keep university technology secure and supported, all university workstations must be upgraded to Windows 11 by October 14, 2025.
Some devices may not be eligible for Windows 11 due to hardware limitations. For those cases, IT can provide guidance for replacement, if needed.
To check your current Windows version:
Press Windows key + R
Type winver and press Enter
A window will appear showing your version of Windows
- If it says Windows 11, no action is required at this time.
- If it says Windows 10, your workstation will need to be upgraded.
- Please submit an upgrade request at https://uca.teamdynamix.
