Mobile Device Management (MDM) Change
Near the end of the 2024 Spring semester, UCA IT notified faculty and staff that we would be transitioning our mobile device management (MDM) system from Mosyle to Jamf for UCA-owned Apple devices. We are now ready for this transition to begin.
Required Actions for Impacted Users
To help ease the impact to users who have UCA-owned Apple devices, we are providing a user-initiated change process that, if completed within the migration windows listed below, should not require UCA IT assistance. Please be aware that timely action is required by device users to avoid potential data loss. Please also note that if your MDM update has not been completed prior to the change deadline of July 31, UCA IT resources will need to be engaged to ensure your device is updated properly.
Follow these instructions when you are ready to begin the migration process.
Timeline for Migration (2024)
User-initiated migration: June 19 - July 10
User-assisted* migration: July 11 - July 31
UCA IT resources will be required after July 31
* User-assisted migration will consist of the migration utility auto-launching and prompting for interaction. The prompt can be deferred up to three times.
