Windows 10 UpgradeDecember 13, 2022 at 7:49 AMDear Campus Community,
Beginning Tuesday, Jan 3, 2023 we will begin upgrading all campus-owned Windows 10 computer operating systems to Windows 10 release 21H2. Any Windows computer already at version 21H2 or 22H2 will not be upgraded. To see what version you are using please follow the additional information link below. The upgrades will be applied to all desktop and laptop computers that are connected using the wired network or connected using secure UCA wireless.
The upgrades have been broken down into five groups. There will be two weeks between groups. Upgrades after Jan 3 will be started between 11:00 PM on Friday and 5:00 AM Saturday. We ask that you leave your Windows PC powered on during the weekends beginning Jan 13, 2023. This will make the upgrade process much smoother.
The final upgrade group is scheduled on Feb 24, 2023. If your PC does not begin an upgrade on Jan 3, it eventually will be.
The update process should take no more than 4 hours to complete. That is starting from the time it begins downloading the update to the point you can log back into the computer should take no more than 4 hours. After logging in after the update the user will see "Hi. Welcome." as it updates the user profile, adding up to 40 minutes for that initial login.
