Windows 10 UpgradeOctober 07, 2021 at 1:02 PMDear Campus Community,
Beginning Friday evening, Oct 18,2021, we will begin upgrading all campus-owned Windows 10 computer operating systems to the latest stable release of Windows 10. Upgrades will be started between 11:00 PM on Friday and 5:00 AM Saturday. We ask that you leave your Windows PC powered on during the weekends beginning Oct 18, 2021. This will make the upgrade process much smoother.
The upgrades have been broken down into five groups. There will be two weeks between groups. The final upgrade group is scheduled on Dec 10, 2021. If your PC does not begin an upgrade on Oct 18, it eventually will be.
The update process should take no more than 4 hours to complete. That is starting from the time it begins downloading the update to the point you can log back into the computer should take no more than 4 hours. After logging in after the update the user will see "Hi. Welcome." as it updates the user profile, adding up to 40 minutes for that initial login.
If you have any questions, please contact the IT Helpdesk at 501.450.3107, itsupport@uca.edu, or https://uca.edu/go/itsupport/.
