Phishing Email Attempt - NOTICEJuly 06, 2021 at 3:42 PMDear Campus Community,
We are seeing a spike in phishing email attempts. The majority of attempts use a spoofed email address that can appear to come from your own address or someone you know from our campus. The email is asking for "1650 US Dollars transferred in Bitcoin" to be transferred to a digital wallet. It may state that your devices have been hijacked using a Zero Day vulnerability. This is a prime example of a phishing attempt and your devices are not compromised. Please do not respond or attempt to send any digital currency to the given wallet address. Simply delete the email.
If you have any questions, please contact the IT Helpdesk at 501.450.3107, itsupport@uca.edu, or https://uca.edu/go/itsupport/.
Thank You,
