The most important part of troubleshooting Novell/myUCA/Banner related issues is to know the EXACT error message. If the user gives you a vague message, prod them for more information.

Problem Accessing Files or My Computer icon?

Novell Client [Return to Headings]
1) Scenario: User calls in and cannot log into the Novell Client, the message is "The system could not log you into the network..."
2) Scenario: User calls in and cannot log into the Novell Client, the message is "Failed to login to the Window's Workstation..."
3) Scenario: User calls in and cannot log into the Novell Client, the message is "Connection to server was terminated/Tree or server was not found..."
4) Scenario: User calls in and cannot log into the Novell Client, the message is"A required network server has failed to login, please check your log"

Novell GroupWise [Return to Headings]
1) Scenario: User calls in and cannot log into Novell GroupWise, the message is "Unable to connect to the TCP/IP...."
2) Scenario: user calls in and cannot log into Novell GroupWise, the message is "The password entered is not correct. Admin has turned on LDAP authentication."

myUCA [Return to Headings]
1) Scenario: Student or Faculty/Staff calls in and cannot log into myUCA, the message is "Account Disable/Expired..."
2) Scenario: Student or Faculty/Staff calls in and cannot log into myUCA, the message is" Account is temporarily suspended.."
3) Scenario: Student calls in cannot log into myUCA, the message is "The username/password pair is not found."
4) Scenario: User is immediately kicked out/logged out of myUCA very shortly after logging in...
5) Scenario: User can log into myUCA, but when they click any link under the "Self Service' portion, the page either times out, "Page cannot be displayed", or they get some kind of "Network Access" error. (Note: If they are receiving" Access Denied" error, this is a different Scenario)...
6) Scenario: User can log into myUCA, but they receive an "Access Denied" message when they click on the Self Service tab, or when they click a link right after the "Self Service" tab loads.
7) Scenario: Student or Faculty/Staff calls in and cannot log into MyUCA, the message is “Username/Password is incorrect.”

This is a data storage system for faculty/staff members. The password for their I-folder 3 account is the same as their Novell. All users can store up to 500MB (1GB if you attend a training class) of information and can be access from anywhere the I-folder 3 client is installed.
